Great experience, smooth booking

I booked the Sip of Boston Tour for a small group back in May. The online booking process was straightforward, and I received a confirmation email almost instantly. Our guide, Sarah, was very knowledgeable about the local craft beer scene and kept everyone engaged. Transportation between breweries was seamless. We visited three different spots, each with unique beers and a good amount of tasting pours. The lunch provided was also a nice touch and surprisingly good quality pub fare. Overall, a very well-organized and enjoyable afternoon.

So much fun, loved it!

I went on the Original Brew Tour in Portland and had an amazing time! Our guide was super enthusiastic and made the whole day a blast. We tried so many different beers and learned a lot about brewing. I'm definitely going to book another tour with them next time I'm in a city they operate in. Highly recommend!

Good value for a group

We did the Bachelor Party Tour in NYC. Found a discount for groups, which saved us a decent amount per person. Felt like a good deal considering all the beer we tried and not having to worry about driving. Definitely worth it for a special occasion.

Decent tour, a few snags

I joined the Sip of DC Tour. The concept is solid, and our guide was friendly and knew his stuff. The breweries chosen were interesting, and the tastings were generous. However, the pickup point was a bit confusing to find, and we waited about 15 minutes past the scheduled departure time. It didn't ruin the experience, but it was a minor annoyance. Overall, a good way to see some local breweries, just a small hiccup at the start.

Is transportation really included on these tours? Like, do they pick you up and drop you off at each place?

I Ivy M. 2 months ago
For most of them, yes. That's a huge part of the convenience.

AFAIK, all the standard tours include transportation between breweries. That's one of the best parts, no worries about driving after all those tastings!

Any chance of a discount for signing up for their newsletter? Trying to save a few bucks.

P Phil Walsh 2 months ago
Usually, yeah. Most places give you a welcome code for signing up.

I definitely got a small discount code when I signed up for their email list a while back. It's worth a shot, usually pops up right away or in your first email.

How many breweries do you usually hit up on an Original Brew Tour? Trying to figure out if it's worth it for the price.

M Marcus Romero 2 months ago
It's usually 3, sometimes 4 if you're lucky and the schedule works out.

From my experience on the NYC tour, we went to three different spots. It felt like a good number, not rushed but you got a solid taste of different breweries.

How does City Brew Tours compare to like, Viator or Airbnb Experiences for beer tours? Are they better?

N Nick Kim 2 months ago
I think City Brew Tours is more specialized. They really know their stuff about beer.

I've done a few different ones. City Brew Tours feels more focused and curated. The guides are usually super knowledgeable about craft beer specifically, which isn't always the case with more general tour platforms like Viator.

Are these tours good for team building? My boss wants to do something fun for our department.

F Faith L. 3 months ago
Definitely! We did it for our company holiday party and everyone loved it. Good way to get to know coworkers outside the office.

They totally have corporate team building options. It's a structured but fun activity, plus everyone likes beer, right? You should probably look into their private tour stuff for that.
